The Lonesome Crowded West

It disgusts me me how, by design of
the current state of this world, we
as humans must be so concerned with
money & the greed-based economic scam
that we know today as capitalism.
Despite my best efforts to do otherwise,
I find that I am constantly pulling my
hair out about the money I have, the
money I’ve spent, the money I owe,
& more chillingly, the money I don’t have.
By the looks of things, I should be
bald & bankrupt by the age of thirty.
Where’s my American Dream?
